Responsibilities

Purchase shop, facility, safety, and maintenance supplies; obtain competitive pricing and improve sourcing.

Coordinate inbound/outbound shipments, carriers, and customer communication.

Oversee subcontractors (electricians, boiler contractors, inspectors).

Manage hazardous waste program, including labeling, logging, storage, and regulatory compliance (DEP/EPA/RCRA).

Maintain and execute preventative maintenance programs and track all maintenance activities.

Perform and coordinate facility and equipment repairs; troubleshoot and implement cost-effective, long-term solutions.

Inspect and maintain safety equipment (SCBA, eyewash stations, fire extinguishers, alarms).

Maintain forklifts, compressors, cranes, and material handling equipment.

Oversee shipping/receiving operations, including inventory verification, damage reporting, documentation, and final quality checks before shipment.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas, shipping office, docks, and yard.

Support production through material handling, rigging, crane operation, and special projects (including snow removal as needed).

Requirements
3+ years of experience working in an industrial environment

RCRA certification (or ability to obtain).

Experience operating forklifts, cranes, and heavy equipment; rigging experience preferred.

Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Ability to lift 5-50 lbs., climb ladders, and perform physical tasks as required.

Comfortable working in industrial environments (heat, cold, noise, heights, machinery, and chemicals).
