Superior Skilled Trades is partnered with a leading manufacturing organization in Ogden, Utah seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic/Electrician to support facility operations and production equipment reliability. Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic/Electrician with a strong electrical and mechanical background to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial production equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing environment, strong knowledge of electrical systems, and the ability to diagnose and repair complex mechanical, hydraulic, and control system issues.
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on industrial machinery and facility equipment
Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and control system issues
Inspect, troubleshoot, adjust, and repair machinery to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently
Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, equipment manuals, and mechanical drawings
Perform maintenance on industrial production systems, including hydraulic systems, controls, plumbing, welding, and fabrication
Utilize diagnostic tools including voltmeters, testing equipment, and measuring instruments
Work with outside vendors and contractors to coordinate equipment and facility repairs
Recommend process improvements and equipment modifications to increase efficiency and reduce downtime
Complete preventative maintenance tasks and maintain accurate documentation
Prioritize daily maintenance activities to support production needs
Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of tools and materials
Participate in an on-call rotation and work additional hours as needed to complete repairs
Follow all safety and environmental standards and procedures
Required Qualifications
5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
Strong electrical troubleshooting and repair skills
Experience maintaining industrial production equipment
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and blueprints
Knowledge of hydraulic systems, mechanical systems, and industrial controls
Experience with PLC systems and basic computer applications
Ability to operate power tools, hand tools, drill press, measuring equipment, and electrical testing equipment
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Valid Electrician/Journeyman License preferred
High school diploma or GED required; technical training, apprenticeship, or associate degree preferred
