Maintenance Mechanic

Summary:

Journal Register Offset is looking for a full-time evening/night shift Maintenance Mechanic for our newspaper printing and inserting facility.

Working hours are 6:00 PM-2:00 AM, 7:00 PM-3:00 AM, or 8:00 PM-4:00 AM, with Sunday and Monday off.

What you will do:

• Perform mechanical and electrical repairs on various printing, inserting, packaging, and warehouse equipment

• Interface with operators and supervisors regarding production and equipment issues

• Assist operators in diagnosing and repairing equipment issues

• Conduct minor building repairs as needed

What you will bring:

• Two years of experience working in a manufacturing environment or another mechanical/electrical trade is preferred

• Ability to use hand and power tools

• Understanding of mechanical drawings

• Experience using electrical schematics is a plus

Benefits and Compensation:

The hourly range is $18.00 - $26.00 + one time sign on bonus.
