Maintenance Mechanic

Madden Industrial Craftsmen is looking to fill a Facilities Maintenance role for their client located in Forest Grove, OR.

Job Title: Facility Maintenance Lead
Wage: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour (DOE)
Schedule: Primarily Day Shift | Flexibility Required for Emergencies

Job Summary:
Seeking a reliable and experienced individual to join our Facilities Department as a Facility Maintenance Supervisor/Lead. This role involves overseeing the maintenance of the building, coordinating with contractors, and managing a small crew of workers. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in building repairs, strong organizational skills, and the ability to handle a wide variety of facility-related tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on facility systems (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc.)

• Coordinate and obtain quotes from outside contractors and service providers

• Supervise and direct a small facility maintenance crew (approximately 2-3 workers)

• Ensure all building systems and areas are maintained to meet operational standards

• Respond to facility-related emergencies during or outside of regular working hours as needed

• Maintain records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections

• Ensure compliance with safety and building codes

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in facility maintenance or a similar role

• Ability to read and understand technical documents, blueprints, and repair manuals

• Strong communication and leadership skills

• Comfortable working with and managing outside vendors and contractors

• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively

• Basic computer skills for logging maintenance activities and email communications

Work Conditions:

• Primarily day shift work with occasional need for after-hours availability during emergencies

• Hands-on work in a commercial building environment

• Physical ability to perform maintenance tasks, including lifting, climbing, and operating tools
