Maintenance Mechanic

We are currently seeking a mechanically inclined candidate for our client in Hartville, Ohio! This is a great opportunity for someone with strong mechanical skills looking to join a growing team. If you enjoy hands-on work and troubleshooting industrial equipment, we want to hear from you.

As a Maintenance Mechanic, you’ll be vital in ensuring production runs smoothly by performing preventative maintenance and repairs on critical machinery. Hours
First shift: 7:30 am – 4:00 pm
Monday – Friday

Pay
$30.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventative maintenance on engines, conveyor systems, etc.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment
  • Use micrometers, calipers, and other measuring instruments
  • Fabricate repair parts using machine shop instrumentation and equipment
  • Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock
  • Prepare mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information
  • Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops
  • Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow all safety and lockout/tagout procedures

Minimum Requirements
  • High School Diploma / GED; technical training preferred
  • 5+ years' experience as an Industrial Maintenance Technician
  • 1+ years' experience working with automation
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems including hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Ability to troubleshoot industrial equipment
  • Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools

Nice to Have Skills
  • Experience with PLCs and programming
  • Certifications in industrial maintenance or related fields

Preferred Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Several years of industrial maintenance experience
  • Experience in manufacturing environments

Other Requirements
  • On-site work location required
  • Ability to lift heavy equipment and perform physical tasks
  • Valid driver’s license may be preferred
