Maintenance Mechanic

POSITION SUMMARY:     This position requires a multi-skilled person to perform all phases of maintenance within our organization.  Multi-tasking of both mechanical and electrical skills to maintain our equipment and processes.  To be capable of performing tasks required to rebuild, modify or adjust our equipment and processes related to producing the best product possible.  To follow and carry out the tasks assigned efficiently and completely.  To train others as required.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or GED (preferred)
• Read and write English
• Ability to communicate clearly and competently with others
• Must have all basic tools (specialized tools will be provided)
• Strong Mechanical knowledge: Basic Electrical knowledge (must be able to read and understand electrical and mechanical blueprints)
• 5+ years industrial maintenance experience (manufacturing)
• Basic PLC knowledge
• Ability to work a flexible schedule (our shifts rotate every 3 months, mornings, afternoons & nights)
• A hard working, dependable, safety conscious individual with a strong work ethic
• A self-starter who requires little to no supervision
• Strong math and problem-solving skills
• Must have basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook (e-mail)

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ability to analyze and troubleshoot equipment quickly and efficiently
• Must be capable of adjusting components to obtain and maintain proper performance based on manufacturer and company guidelines
• Must be capable of repairing both mechanically and electrically any defective parts (up to the level of individual solid state component replacement within circuit boards).
• Capable of utilizing, obtaining, and retaining information gathered from the manufacturers manuals and drawings and using this information in maintaining those components and processes within the manufacturers’ specification
• Willing to function as a team member toward the achievement of this company’s goals and objectives
• Perform other related duties as assigned

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Ability to lift and grasp safely up to 100 lbs 1% - 5% of the time (with help)
• Ability to lift and grasp safely up to 50 lbs 15% of the time
• Ability to lift and grasp safely up to 25 lbs 40% of the time
• Ability to lift and grasp safely up to 15 lbs 70% of the time
• Ability to squat, stoop, kneel and bend at the waste 50 % of the time
• Finger manipulation of small parts 50% of the time
• Climb ladders and stairs 20% of the time
