The Pittsburgh Paints Company is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving manufacturing equipment and plant utility systems across all departments. 

 

SIGN ON BONUS OF 1,000$.

 

You will need the availability to work 2nd or 3rd shift, pending on seniority/ business needs at the moment.

 

Shift: 2ND SHIFT, Monday- Friday 3PM -11 PM

Shift :3rd SHIFT- Sunday- Thursday- 11 PM- 7 AM

Key Responsibilities 

  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on belts, piping, filters, mixers, conveyors, valves, bearings, and seals 
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment to resolve and prevent issues 
  • Maintain and repair pumps, motors, drives, conveyors, pneumatics, and production equipment 
  • Install and service control devices, sensors, and motor control systems 
  • Troubleshoot PLCs (Allen Bradley preferred) and 480V 3-phase electrical systems 
  • Read and work from blueprints, schematics, and technical documents 
  • Perform basic welding and fabrication as needed 

Qualifications 

  • 3–5 years of mechanical maintenance or skilled trades experience 
  • Must be 18 years of age, High school diploma or GED required 
  • Vocational/ Trade school equates 2 years of work/ field experience for this role
  • Strong mechanical and electrical background 
  • PLC troubleshooting experience (Allen Bradley preferred) 
  • Experience with hand tools and power tools 
  • Ability to read technical drawings and work independently 
  • Basic computer skills; CMMS experience a plus 
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
