Maintenance Mechanic I

Responsibilities

• The Maintenance Mechanic I is responsible for completion of preventative maintenance, troubleshooting equipment problems, removing and adjusting defective parts.
• Work closely with senior mechanics to acquire a better working knowledge of the equipment they are responsible for.
• Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager or Maintenance Team Lead.

Authorities

• Stop equipment operations if unsafe conditions are identified.
• Escalate unresolved or repeated maintenance issues to the Maintenance Manager or Team Lead.
• Request replacement parts or materials needed to complete work orders.
• Reject the use of unsafe tools or defective equipment.

Minimum Skills Required

• Must have basic mechanical aptitude
• Must be able to use hand tools safely and efficiently
• Be able to lift, move, push or pull up to 50lbs
