Cargo/Freight, Funding, Hand Tools, Identify Issues, Lift/Move 50 Pounds, Maintenance Services, Preventative Maintenance, Shipping/Receiving, Team Lead/Manager
Responsibilities
- The Maintenance Mechanic I is responsible for completion of preventative maintenance, troubleshooting equipment problems, removing and adjusting defective parts.
- Work closely with senior mechanics to acquire a better working knowledge of the equipment they are responsible for.
- Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager or Maintenance Team Lead.
Authorities
- Stop equipment operations if unsafe conditions are identified.
- Escalate unresolved or repeated maintenance issues to the Maintenance Manager or Team Lead.
- Request replacement parts or materials needed to complete work orders.
- Reject the use of unsafe tools or defective equipment.
Minimum Skills Required
- Must have basic mechanical aptitude
- Must be able to use hand tools safely and efficiently
- Be able to lift, move, push or pull up to 50lbs
