Skilled Maintenance Technicians (Off Shift) Rochester Precision Optics LLC
- $30–$38 Per Hour
Hours: Full time Shift: A Shift
Reports to: Production Supervisor
General Duties: The Maintenance Technician ensures operation of machinery by repairing and completing preventative maintenance requirements on injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment.
Essential Functions: Jobs assigned to maintenance technicians may vary from day to day. Depending on the job assigned, the maintenance technician may be responsible for any or all of the following:
Maintain the highest quality work to continuously insure customer satisfaction
Ability to troubleshoot injection molding machines with the ability to read hydraulic and electrical schematics
Be familiar with and be able to troubleshoot hydraulics
Read electrical schematics and troubleshoot electrical issues with machines
Locate repair parts and negotiate with vendor on best price
Perform and document machine Preventative Maintenance as scheduled
Perform and document service work on all secondary auxiliary equipment
Chillers, desiccant dryers, mold water heater, etc.
Not required: Familiarity with tower maintenance and compressor maintenance
Coordinate with technical support of machine manufacturer
Perform plant and equipment electrical and plumbing maintenance requirements as needed
Maintain and document spare part inventory
Order repair and maintenance components/supplies as needed
Perform any metal cutting, drilling, welding, milling as needed
Familiar with VanDorn, Sumitomo, JSW, Engel and Cincinnati machinery.
Have all necessary tools to perform the job
Not required: Ability to troubleshoot robotics
Operate forklift/overhead crane
Other duties as assigned by Supervisor
