Job Title - Maintenance Mechanic II
Location- Minnetonka, MN 55345
Hours: Monday to Thursday 3:30pm to 2:00am
12+ Months of contract

WHAT YOU LL DO
" Perform preventative, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, safety checks, repairs, installations, and modifications on production equipment.
" Record all maintenance repair activity on production equipment and fixtures using CMMS.
" Knowledge of and skill in repairing industrial machines
" Knowledge of and experience in troubleshooting and repairing all production equipment
" Knowledge of and experience in using small tools, micrometers, calipers, gauge pins, multimeters, etc.
" Ability to understand and follow verbal and written procedures
" Ability to read and understand drawings and electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic schematics
" Knowledge of personal computer operations and skill in using software packages including Microsoft Office
" Ability to respond to and answer/solve technical questions and problems
" Tear down, inspect and rebuild production equipment
" Ability to diagnose PLC problems and take the appropriate corrective action to repair
" Requisition needed items for inventory, spare parts and emergency repairs
" Support 5S

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU LL BRING
" High school diploma or equivalent required.
" Two-year technical vocational training and/or military experience.
" Minimum 2 years experience.
" Knowledge of and skill in repairing industrial machines

Role Overview
" Maintenance Technician role within the maintenance group
" Work involves small bench-scale equipment and slightly larger equipment in production areas
" Equipment is not large or heavy industrial machinery
Technical Responsibilities
" Repairing, disassembling, and troubleshooting equipment
" Strong focus on maintenance experience (not assembly-only backgrounds)
" Functional testing of assembly or production equipment
" Mechanical troubleshooting; fabrication is not a major requirement
" Comfort working around automation equipment
Electrical / PLC Experience
" Electrical maintenance experience required
" Some PLC experience preferred, but:
o Not a large part of the role
o No PLC programming required
o Just basic troubleshooting and understanding
" Automation/PLC team handles programming
Candidate Background & Requirements
" High school diploma minimum
" Technical/vocational education preferred
" Degree or formal education in maintenance or related technical field is a plus
" Industrial maintenance experience required
" Experience disassembling and maintaining machines
" Medical device or optics manufacturing experience is a plus, but not mandatory
