2nd Shift: 3:15 PM - 1:45 AM

Position Overview

Our client is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic II to join their team at the Plymouth, MN facility supporting the Electrophysiology (EP) Medical Device business. This role is responsible for maintaining production equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills and hands-on experience with industrial maintenance systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive, scheduled, and corrective maintenance on production equipment.
  • Complete equipment repairs, installations, modifications, and safety inspections.
  • Troubleshoot and repair industrial manufacturing equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Document maintenance activities using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Maintain and track equipment inventory and spare parts.
  • Operate precision measuring and diagnostic tools, including:
    • Micrometers
    • Calipers
    • Multimeters
    • Gauge pins
    • Other precision instruments
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, electrical diagrams, pneumatic schematics, and hydraulic schematics.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve equipment issues while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Utilize maintenance and business systems such as Microsoft Office, SAP, Windchill, and Infor EAM (CMMS).

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of experience in an industrial maintenance, manufacturing, or automation environment.
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • Industrial electrical systems
    • Hydraulics
    • Pneumatics
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair production equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance tools, equipment, and industry best practices.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal work instructions.
  • Basic computer skills with experience using maintenance management software (CMMS).
