JOB SUMMARY
The Maintenance Mechanic plays a large role in the maintenance and up of Albany International's industrial equipment. Over time, the incumbent is trained in a variety of distinct tasks, each associated with the classification of a Maintenance Mechanic.
SAFETY AND PROCEDURES
- Follow all publicized safety policies/procedures and JIBS applicable to the job.
- Use appropriate PPE that has been identified on the Hazard Analysis for the department/role.
- Attend and participate in all safety training, safety meetings, audits and Behavior Based Safety programs assigned.
- Report all safety hazards observed. If capable, correct the safety hazard identified.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Must be able to safely operate all tools
- Must be qualified as a millwright or industrial mechanic.
- Must be familiar with or willing and able to learn operation of boilers, thermal oil heaters, air conditioning systems, and pneumatic controls.
- Must be willing to attend technical or other schools to become sufficiently proficient in all of the above areas and operations to do the tasks required.
- Able to load/unload heavy, large packages when necessary
- Operate Forklift
- Cleans up work area
- Cross-trains to other processes
