    Aspirus Howard Young Medical Center in Woodruff, WI is seeking a MAINTENANCE MECHANIC III to join our MAINTENANCE team!

    The Maintenance Mechanic III performs repairs and maintenance on hospital buildings, equipment and components. Performs regular and preventative maintenance and emergency calls. Serves as a liaison between Aspirus and outside contractors.

    HOURS: Full Time; 1.0 FTE or 80 hours per pay period.

    Experience/Qualifications

    Advanced knowledge of mechanical standards and practices normally acquired through completion of a Technical School diploma or equivalent, and State approved apprenticed Millwright, Machinery Repairman or equivalent. Completion of designated courses at NTC and Healthcare Mechanic Certification as approved by the Maintenance Manager. Five years' experience in building and equipment maintenance. Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire - All clinical personnel in identified job codes are required to maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) training through independent study, online manikin and knowledge testing. An acceptable training program is the Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider course from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross Professional Rescuer Program with AED. (See Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Training Policy). Possesses a valid Wisconsin Driver's License required. Strong mechanical skills with the ability to troubleshoot or assist in problem solving all mechanical equipment of the facility.

    Howard Young Medical Center is an acute care facility located in Woodruff that provides a level of primary and specialty care not commonly found in a typical rural hospital. Built in 1977 the hospital traces its roots to the founding of Lakeland Memorial Hospital in the 1950s and provides care to residents across northern Wisconsin that includes Oneida, Vilas, and Iron counties.
