Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable and mechanically inclined Maintenance Mechanic for a potential temp-to-hire opportunity in Joplin, MO. This role will support the maintenance team in an automated manufacturing facility by assisting with equipment maintenance, repairs, and installations to keep production running safely and efficiently.

Required Experience & Skills

Mechanical and electrical skills REQUIRED
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
High School Diploma or GED REQUIRED
Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen
Ability to pass a federal background check
Strong reliability, punctuality, and work ethic REQUIRED

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Assist the maintenance team with repairing, maintaining, and installing machinery, tools, and production equipment
Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities
Help troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment issues
Assist with maintaining safe and efficient plant operations
Support equipment installation and production line maintenance as needed
Maintain maintenance tools, workspaces, and equipment organization
Follow all company safety procedures and maintenance protocols
Complete additional maintenance support tasks as assigned

Work Environment

Automated manufacturing facility
Exposure to machinery, moving equipment, electrical systems, and industrial production operations
Physically active role requiring standing, walking, lifting, bending, and hands-on maintenance work
