THE ROLE
The Maintenance Mechanic at Grandstand is responsible for conducting general maintenance and repair on the facility; and on all production machinery and equipment ensuring it is safe, functional, and well-maintained. This position will also provide assistance with building and grounds maintenance.
Execute the activities of machinery and equipment preventative maintenance and repair in production facility.
Provide quick response to downtime situations affecting production.
Collaborate with Production staff to trouble-shoot and find solutions for decoration challenges.
Minimize downtime by following the prioritization and scheduling of repair orders as instructed.
Ensure that unsafe equipment is taken out of service until repairs are made.
Assist Facility Maintenance Tech with: HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, dock doors, dock plates, trailer restraints and switch lights, pest control, and elevator.
Collaborate with Production Manager regarding expenditures to ensure maximum value is obtained when purchasing supplies and repair parts.
Conduct parts inventory audits as required to ensure parts are readily available to minimize downtime.
Collaborate with material handling equipment vendor regarding maintenance and repair of forklifts.
Flexibility to work variable shifts.
Additional duties as assigned by management.
THE ESSENTIALS
Maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
Knowledge of advanced mathematics required.
An aptitude for general maintenance processes and methods.
Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and other mechanical systems.
Ability to understand and follow advanced written and oral instructions.
Must be a team player capable of working with cross functional teams.
Ability to effectively communicate, present information, and respond to questions in verbal and written format, both internally and externally.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with ability to multi-task, plan and set priorities with minimal supervision.
Ability to exercise good judgment, work independently and be highly motivated.
Ability to exhibit strong interpersonal communication skills and establish and maintain effective working relationship across all levels of Grandstand.
Valid drivers license and proof of automobile insurance.
Regular and reliable attendance combined with being dependable and prompt.

Level 4: Heavy Work
Occasionally exerts 50-100 pounds of force; frequently exerts 25-50 pounds of force; constantly exerts 10-20 pounds of force.
Must be able to safely complete 50-pound PILE test or greater.
