Pacific Coast Producers (PCP), a growing agricultural cooperative with food production facilities across the West Coast, is looking for an experienced and highly skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at our Lodi Plant in Lodi, CA. Pay Rate: $40.00 per hour. This is a full-time, on-site role (40 hours per week), with weekend and overtime hours required as needed. This position is part of a seniority based Collective Bargaining Unit (CBA).

As a journey-level Maintenance Mechanic you'll be responsible for the continuous operation, safety, and efficiency of our industrial equipment. In this role, you will work both independently and collaboratively to perform critical repairs and preventive maintenance. This is a fully qualified position for an experienced technician who thrives in a dynamic production environment and can confidently troubleshoot complex mechanical systems.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Reliable and able to maintain excellent attendance.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair industrial machinery to resolve mechanical issues quickly, minimize downtime, and restore full functionality
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to optimize equipment longevity and ensure continuous operations.
  • Work closely with maintenance leadership and production teams to align repair efforts with facility goals and daily operational needs.
  • Maintain strict adherence to all safety protocols, regulatory standards, and quality control procedures.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance maintenance procedures, recommend equipment upgrades, and contribute to overall operational efficiency.

Specialized Focus Areas:

Depending on your primary area of expertise or department assignment, duties may include focused work in one or more of the following areas:

  • Automotive
  • Boiler or Steam Systems
  • General Machinery
  • Fabrication/Sheet Metal
  • Labeling and/or Casing
  • Plumbing and Piping
  • Refrigeration
  • Seamers and Fillers
  • Warehousing

Requirements:

  • Reliable and able to maintain excellent attendance.
  • Available to work all shifts, including night shift (11:00 PM - 7:30 AM), and weekends as needed.
  • Significant (5+ years) relevant industrial experience.
  • Committed to safety and food safety, including use of appropriate PPE.
  • Must possess and use personal hand tools.
  • Basic fabrication capabilities, and fundamental hydraulic, pneumatic, welding, and plumbing knowledge and experience.
  • Knowledge of vacuum systems, motion control systems, and HVAC systems. Must possess at least basic computer knowledge.
  • Certified ability to operate/drive a forklift (a.k.a. industrial lift truck).
  • Ability to create and review machine drawings and schematics.
