What You'll Do
As a Maintenance Mechanic, you'll play a critical role in maximizing equipment uptime and ensuring safe, efficient manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain food processing and packaging equipment.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on manufacturing machinery.
- Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Install, modify, and improve production equipment.
- Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
- Complete work orders, maintenance records, and equipment documentation.
- Maintain spare parts inventory and maintenance supplies.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, HACCP, GMP, and workplace safety standards.
- Collaborate with Production and Quality teams to improve equipment reliability and plant efficiency.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong troubleshooting skills involving mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Experience maintaining automated manufacturing or packaging equipment.
- Familiarity with CMMS software and basic computer skills.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in food or beverage manufacturing.
- Knowledge of food processing equipment and sanitary manufacturing practices.
- Experience with PLC troubleshooting is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing, and reaching.
- Comfortable working around moving industrial equipment.
- Ability to work in varying temperatures within a food manufacturing environment.
