Maintenance Mechanic

Westaff is Hiring for a Maintenance Mechanic in Meriden, CT!

Pay Rate: $20 - $23 an hour, depending on experience

Responsibilities:

• Assist with equipment setup, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance.
• Test machinery before and after repairs.
• Support building maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, and general facility upkeep.
• Document completed work in the maintenance system.
• Communicate repair status and equipment issues to supervisors.
• Make machine adjustments to support production operations.
• Follow all safety, food safety, and company policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
• 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience or related training in welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, or electrical systems.
• Understanding of preventive maintenance practices.
• Must provide own hand tools.Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a team environment.
