Maintenance Mechanic

Summary:

• Location: Minnetonka, MN
• Hours: Monday to Thursday – 3:30pm to 2:00am

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative, scheduled, and unscheduled maintenance, safety checks, repairs, installations, and modifications on production equipment.
• Record all maintenance repair activity on production equipment and fixtures using CMMS.
• Repair, disassemble, and troubleshoot equipment.
• Tear down, inspect, and rebuild production equipment.
• Requisition needed items for inventory, spare parts, and emergency repairs.
• Support 5S initiatives.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two-year technical vocational training and/or military experience.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in industrial maintenance.
• Experience in disassembling and maintaining machines.
• Knowledge of and skill in repairing industrial machines.

Preferred Skills:

• Technical/vocational education preferred.
• Degree or formal education in maintenance or related technical field is a plus.
• Medical device or optics manufacturing experience is a plus, but not mandatory.
• Electrical maintenance experience required.
• Some PLC experience preferred, but not a large part of the role.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written procedures.
• Ability to read and understand drawings and electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics.
• Knowledge of personal computer operations and skill in using software packages including Microsoft Office.
• Ability to respond to and answer/solve technical questions and problems.
