MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

My client is seeking an experienced and talented MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN in their Mt. Laurel, NJ high speed manufacturing facility.

YOU WILL BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE AS YOU DEMONSTRATE ACCOMPLISHMENT IN:
  • Applying high speed equipment mechanical knowledge and skill in how to start, service, diagnose, adjust, and repair equipment such as air compressors, vacuum pump system, central vacuum cleaning systems, blending equipment, dust collectors, stretch wrappers, conveyors and equipment, furnaces and compactors.
  • Performing rebuilds on equipment or parts such as motors, string accumulators, ink jet coders, and other food processing equipment.
  • Performing preventive maintenance service on equipment such as machines, conveyors, lights, fire extinguishers, emergency lights, heaters and air conditioners.
  • Performing computer skills such as inputting work orders and looking up parts.
  • Following current good manufacturing practices, safe work habits, plant dress codes, hygiene standards and housekeeping requirements unique to the high standards our customers expect.
  • Operating portable power tools and basic shop machinery for repairs, modifications, improvements, and rebuilds of existing equipment.
  • Working on an assigned 2ND OR 3RD shift and available for overtime as needed.

YOU WILL BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE AS YOU DEMONSTRATE ACCOMPLISHMENT IN:
  • Having five (5) years related maintenance experience in a high speed manufacturing environment. Food experience is a plus!
  • Positively collaborating with managers, operators and other mechanics in assessing machine and mechanical issues and taking quick and decisive action in making necessary repairs.
  • Performing inspection and cleaning work on equipment, understanding preventative maintenance, work order and historical records and developing written reports for preventative maintenance files of all conditions found in inspection work.
  • Reading and interpreting documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively to supervisors, operators, and other employees regarding operation of equipment.
  • Adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals to complete maintenance duties. Estimating size, form, quality or quantity of objects and speed of moving objects. Using measuring devices such as tapes, gauges and weight scales, micrometers, calibrated steel tapes and calipers.
