Schedule: Monday-Friday, 5/8 shift, starting at 10:00am-1:00pm

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Mechanic to join our team in Livermore, California. This role involves performing preventive maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on manufacturing machinery within a busy food production warehouse environment. The successful candidate will ensure machinery operates efficiently and safely throughout the shift, supporting continuous production processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete daily maintenance reports and generate work orders for repairs identified during inspections and preventive maintenance activities.
• Perform repairs and adjustments on machinery, utilizing operational manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Create work lists, order parts, and check inventory levels to minimize equipment downtime.
• Monitor equipment performance and rated speeds to identify potential issues early.
• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and learn new troubleshooting techniques.
• Use various tools including welders, milling machines, grinders, presses, lathes, and band saws for equipment repairs.
• Utilize testing devices such as VOM meters, AMP meters, Meg-Ohm meters, and temperature meters.
• Measure components using tape measures, calipers, and micrometers.
• Follow safety protocols, including OSHA, Arc Flash, and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
• Work independently or collaboratively with team members, demonstrating flexibility and reliability.
• Maintain good attendance and adapt to different work areas and shifts.
• Lift up to 50 lbs and perform frequent twisting, bending, and stooping.

Required Qualifications:

• Machinery mechanical experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Bilingual proficiency.
• Experience with hand tools, power tools, and welding.
• Knowledge of OSHA, Arc Flash, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
• Flexibility to work different areas, start times, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Capable of working in various environments with a positive attitude.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience operating forklifts (sit-down, certified).
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs.
• Experience in food manufacturing or warehouse environments.

Tools, Equipment, and Systems:

• Hand tools and power tools.
• Machinery such as welders, milling machines, grinders, presses, lathes, and band saws.
• Testing devices including VOM meters, AMP meters, Meg-Ohm meters, and temperature meters.
• Measurement tools such as tape measures, calipers, and micrometers.
• Computer systems for reporting and work order management.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to remain stationary for extended periods.
• Frequent twisting, bending, and stooping.
• Flexibility to work in different production areas and shifts.
• Adherence to safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
