Maintenance Mechanic

HiFyve is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic in the Food & Beverage industry in Norwood, MN!

Salary: $32.65 to 34.85 + shift difference of $1.20

Shift: Night 5pm to 5am rotating schedule

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Inspect and test machinery and equipment to diagnose malfunctions
• Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment
• Dismantle and reassemble defective machines and install new or repaired parts
• Assemble, install, or repair pipe systems for hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
• Record repairs and maintain inventory guidelines
• Clean, lubricate, and maintain machine components such as shafts, bearings, and gears
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance checks
• Report all food safety and quality concerns to supervisors
• Follow all GMPs and safety guidelines
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or lead

Minimum Requirements:

• Previous maintenance experience in a manufacturing or production environment required
• Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair high-speed manufacturing equipment

Physical Capabilities:

• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs occasionally
• Ability to stand for long periods of time

• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills
• Ability to follow safety procedures and GMP standards
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to read, write, and follow maintenance documentation and procedures
