This position is responsible for ensuring that all packaging systems and equipment operate safely and in compliance with safety regulations and company operating standards.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain Packaging Machinery and Company Equipment:

Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions

Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts

Assemble and install machinery and equipment

Perform troubleshooting, repairs, and installations of processing equipment, with a working knowledge of electrical systems to ensure efficient results

Demonstrate strong mechanical knowledge, including power systems, pneumatics, and motors

Optimize equipment safety, efficiency, and reliability by participating in continuous improvement projects and completing work orders according to preventive maintenance (PM) schedules

Service, clean, and perform preventive maintenance and overhauls on all packaging equipment

Instruct and assist in the training of apprentices as required

Supervise contractors working on-site to ensure compliance with company standards and procedures
Reporting

Maintain accurate daily records of all equipment and machinery maintenance, audits, and inspections
Safety

Ensure full compliance with all operating and safety standards

Follow all company policies and procedures, including HACCP, BRC, Organics, and Code of Conduct

Maintain a clean and safe workplace
