Maintenance Mechanic - Direct

Pay Rate: $25.00 per hour, W 2 including benefits

Location: Brownstown, MI

Summary:

• Perm Position

Responsibilities:

• Provide general oversight and responsibility for equipment and personnel within the assigned building.
• Strive to promote efficiency in all aspects of the building, including uptime, labor hours, repairs, and PM completion.
• Actively patrol assigned building to proactively address equipment issues.
• Report all major issues to Chief Engineer and Production Manager and assist with resolution.
• Establish and maintain a positive working relationship between building maintenance crew and production team.
• Completion at 100%.
• Other duties as needed or assigned.

Requirements:

• Be on time and have excellent attendance.
• Meet or exceed plant up-time goal of 98%.
• Maintain building call response time of 2 minutes or less.
• Follow all company safety rules and policies.
• Be able to work well with a diverse workforce.
• Possess and maintain a positive attitude.
• Be able to work past the schedule as issues may arise.
• This position may be physically demanding; lifting and moving objects heavier than 50lbs can be expected regularly.
• The plant environment may be warm during certain times of the year; ability to walk and stand for the entire shift is necessary.
