JOB TITLE: Maintenance Mechanic
DEPARTMENT: Fleet Maintenance
JOB SUMMARY:
Provide the mechanical skills and abilities required to inspect and troubleshoot all operating fleet equipment. Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and non-scheduled repairs on all fleet equipment as needed for operations requirements.
ESSENTAL FUNCTIONS:
Perform all necessary maintenance to ensure that fleet requirements are met daily.
Meet all demands (inspection, maintenance, and repair) on fleet, various types of company vehicles, and equipment.
Comply with all safety guidelines and create an environment of compliance.
Provide reliable workmanship and attention to detail to ensure the highest quality of maintenance work.
Perform other various duties as required.
Be able to handle your duties with professionalism.
Understand company compliance and safety regulations as they relate to company equipment.
REQUIREMENTS:
Non-Physical
Possess a thorough knowledge of basic internal combustion engines, diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical generation and distribution, transmissions, drivetrain, and mechanics.
Possess the ability to compose original correspondence and follow technical manuals.
Possess the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, area, circumference and volume.
Follow instructions in written, verbal, or diagram form and to deal with multiple conditions.
Observe and remember details.
Effective decision-making skills.
Highly motivational and energetic.
Ability to solve problems.
Basic computer skills are required.
Ability to pass a criminal background check, driving, and drug tests.
Education/Experience
Possess a High School Diploma or a General Education Degree (GED).
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to follow instructions in written, verbal, or diagram form; deal with several concrete conditions by incorporating general standards and knowledge.
Possess or willing to obtain a Commercial Drivers License
Minimum one to three years of mechanical experience
