HireLevel is partnering with National Cart to hire Maintenance Mechanics in St. Charles, MO! The Maintenance Mechanic repairs and performs preventative maintenance of plant machinery, equipment, and facilities in accordance with schematic diagrams, blueprints, operations manuals, and manufacturer's specifications in a safe, productive, and ergonomically correct manner. In addition, the Maintenance Technician performs maintenance of machine tooling, hand tools and machinery to maintain good working order. They may also perform repairs and maintains the physical structure of our facility.

Location: St. Charles, MO
Shift: Monday - Friday | 6:00am – 2:30pm | 2:30pm – 11:00pm | 10:00pm – 6:30am
Compensation: $27 - $33/hr.

Responsibilities of Maintenance Mechanic:
- Performs preventative maintenance on machinery, equipment, and facility systems according to maintenance schedules.
- Diagnoses mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues and completes repairs in a timely manner.
- Reads and interprets schematics, blueprints, manuals, and work orders to troubleshoot equipment problems.
- Maintains production equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Responds to equipment breakdowns and performs emergency repairs to minimize downtime.
- Inspects machinery and equipment for proper operation and identifies potential maintenance concerns.
- Repairs and maintains motors, conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, bearings, and other production equipment.
- Performs welding, fabrication, and installation of replacement parts as needed.
- Maintains machine tooling, hand tools, and maintenance equipment in good working condition.
- Assists with equipment installations, modifications, and improvement projects.
- Repairs and maintains building systems including lighting, plumbing, HVAC, and facility structures as needed.
- Completes maintenance documentation and records accurately.
- Follows all safety procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, and company policies.
- Supports continuous improvement initiatives to increase equipment reliability and efficiency.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements of Maintenance Mechanic:
- Previous maintenance mechanic, industrial maintenance, or related experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Experience using diagnostic equipment and troubleshooting production machinery.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
- Welding and fabrication experience preferred.
- Capable of balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, and reaching overhead.
- Able to walk or stand for a minimum of 8 hours with limited breaks.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
