HireLevel is partnering with a long-standing St. Louis manufacturer looking for a Maintenance Mechanic to join their team! This position is located in Jennings, MO.
Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic
Job Category: Full-Time
Contract Location: Jennings, MO
Shift: 5:00am – 2:30pm or 6:00am – 3:30pm Monday – Friday (some Saturdays as needed)

Compensation: $35-45/hr Based on experience, skills, and certifications
Responsibilities of Maintenance Mechanic:
- Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing planned and unplanned maintenance on production, packaging, and processing equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance including computerized PM checks and monitoring equipment data
- Troubleshoot issues and complete emergency repairs during equipment breakdowns
- Read and interpret technical procedures, electrical schematics, service manuals, and work orders
- Maintain and support manufacturing systems including utility systems (steam, cooling, electrical, gas, air, etc.)
- Use hand tools, power tools, meters, and material handling equipment to complete repairs
- Communicate effectively with departments and management regarding equipment issues affecting production
- Complete required maintenance documentation accurately and in accordance with SOPs
- Follow GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary work environment
- Follow all safety procedures including lockout/tagout, PPE use, and confined space safety
Requirements of Maintenance Mechanic:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, manuals, and technical documents
- Mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Comfortable working in varying temperatures, wet environments, and moderate to high noise levels
- Must follow all safety and PPE requirements at all times
- Must meet requirements of background and drug screening policies
