    Description

    HiFyve is hiring a maintenance mechanic in the Industrial Manufacturing industry in St. Louis, MO!

    Salary: $32/hr


    Shift: 1st shift (training only): 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM for approximately 6–8 months

    After training transition to an assigned shift:

    • 2nd shift: 3:00 PM – 11:20 PM
    • 3rd shift: 11:00 PM – 7:20 AM


    Location: St. Louis, MO

    Key Responsibilities:

    Install, troubleshoot, maintain, calibrate, and repair all electrical and control equipment, including electronic scales, microwaves, welding equipment, induction machines, HVAC transformers, instruments, recorders, and air conditioning units

    Layout and build electrical panels; install wiring systems for new and used equipment

    Perform thermocouple checks and surveys on equipment to meet aircraft and military specifications

    Read and log all meters and maintain proper documentation

    Repair, clean, calibrate, and maintain hardness testers and other measurement or testing equipment

    Perform preventive maintenance on meters, gauges, recorders, charts, filters, belts, lubrication points, furnace internals, furnace mechanisms, safety devices, and more

    Fabricate tanks, fixtures, conveyors, furnaces, and other equipment using welding equipment, acetylene torch, blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and hand tools

    Install, repair, and replace fire brick

    Read dew point and adjust Endothermic Generators to proper levels

    Education Requirements:

    High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience

    2-year technical degree or equivalent knowledge in electrical systems, pipefitting, instrumentation, and temperature control

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    2+ years of experience in welding, electronics, and electrical systems

    Several years of experience in an industrial environment

    Strong troubleshooting, fabrication, and maintenance skills

    Ability to work all shifts and respond to plant needs

    Must be willing to work rotating shifts after training (2nd shift: 3:00 PM – 11:20 PM, 3rd shift: 11:00 PM – 7:20 AM)

    Flexibility for occasional overtime, weekend work, or extended shifts (up to 12 consecutive days in rare cases)

    License(s)/Certification(s) Required:

    Forklift certification (must be able to obtain)

    Must pass pre-employment screenings
