Our dynamic manufacturing firm is seeking an experienced, dedicated, and proactive Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. This pivotal role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing our complex machinery and equipment to ensure our manufacturing processes run smoothly and efficiently. The successful candidate will be an integral part of our team, helping us to meet our production targets while maintaining the highest levels of safety and quality.

Responsibilities:

As our Maintenance Mechanic, your responsibilities will include:

1. Performing routine and preventive maintenance on all machinery and equipment to minimize downtime and enhance operational efficiency.
2. Troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues quickly and accurately, using a range of testing tools and techniques.
3. Repairing or replacing faulty components as necessary, ensuring all work is carried out to the highest standards of safety and quality.
4. Adhering to all HAZMAT regulations and safety procedures when handling hazardous materials.
5. Maintaining detailed records of all maintenance and repair work, including parts used and time spent.
6. Collaborating closely with other team members and departments to optimize maintenance schedules and minimize disruption to production.
7. Keeping up-to-date with the latest developments in equipment technology and maintenance techniques.
8. Ensuring the cleanliness and safety of the work area.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, you will need:

1. A minimum of 5 years' experience in a maintenance mechanic role within the manufacturing industry.
2. Proven experience in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical systems.
3. Proficient knowledge of preventive maintenance techniques and best practices.
4. Experience in handling hazardous materials, with a valid HAZMAT certification.
5. In-depth knowledge of safety procedures and regulations within the manufacturing environment.
6. Familiarity with plating processes and equipment.
7. Excellent mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
9. Strong communication and record-keeping skills.
10. Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy equipment.
11. A relevant trade qualification or equivalent is highly desirable.
