We are currently seeking a highly skilled, and self-motivated Maintenance Mechanic to join our team in the food manufacturing industry. This is an exciting opportunity to work on state-of-the-art equipment and systems, where you will be responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing a vast array of machinery. The ideal candidate will be a problem solver who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and has a keen eye for detail. With your expertise, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our production lines, leading to the production of high-quality products.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment to identify and respond to signs of malfunction.
2. Perform troubleshooting to diagnose faulty machinery and systems, then develop plans for their repair.
3. Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance.
4. Collaborate with production staff to understand and fix equipment problems promptly to minimize downtime.
5. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance work performed, including routine inspection reports.
6. Adhere to all safety rules and regulations, promoting a safe and healthy work environment.
7. Stay current with the latest technologies and best practices in machinery maintenance and repair.
8. Assist with the installation and setup of new machinery and equipment.
9. Recommend improvements to enhance equipment performance and reduce maintenance costs.
10. Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to maintain current knowledge in the field.

Qualifications:

1. Candidates must have their own tools
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic in the Manufacturing industry.
3. Proven experience in troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery and equipment.
4. Solid understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
5. Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
6. Strong problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
7. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
8. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
9. Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
10. Must be willing to work in various conditions, including heat, cold, and dust, and be able to lift heavy objects and work at heights.
11. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required.
12. Knowledge of safety standards and procedures in the manufacturing industry.
13. Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is a plus.
