Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description

As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will predominantly focus on mechanical repairs, dedicating approximately 80% of your time to mechanical work and 20% to electrical tasks. You will work on a variety of equipment including ovens, industrial burners, conveyors, pumps, hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, sensors, and valves. Your role will involve reading prints and schematics, performing mechanical repairs, and light welding on mild steel. Additionally, you will communicate with the subsequent shift to ensure seamless operations.


Responsibilities


+ Perform mechanical repairs on equipment such as ovens, conveyors, and pumps.

+ Troubleshoot electrical systems up to 480v and lower voltages.

+ Conduct light welding using MIG and stick methods on mild steel.

+ Repair or replace pumps, motors, gears, and bearings.

+ Read and interpret prints and schematics.

+ Communicate with the next shift about completed and pending tasks.


Essential Skills


+ 3-5+ years of recent industrial mechanical experience.

+ Proficiency in mechanical repairs with an 80/20 mechanical to electrical focus.

+ Ability to perform maintenance and repairs on hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.

+ Capability to troubleshoot mechanically industrial equipment.

+ Experience troubleshooting electrical systems up to 480v single and three-phase.


Additional Skills & Qualifications


+ Experience in troubleshooting, electrical systems, mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electronics.

+ Knowledge of preventive maintenance, schematics, blueprints, conduit, and wire pulling.

+ Prior experience as a Maintenance Technician or Maintenance Mechanic in industrial maintenance.

Work Environment


You will be working in a facility that specializes in heat treating for the automotive industry. The work environment can become quite warm, with some areas exceeding 100 degrees. The shifts are structured as 1st shift from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM and 2nd shift from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM. This role offers 40 hours a week with optional overtime. You will receive weekly pay and medical benefits, and there is potential for annual bonuses and attendance bonuses after transitioning to a direct hire.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
