Hourly Non-Exempt Position

Responsibilities:

  • Perform tasks while ensuring Safety and Food Safety in accordance with SQF standards
  • Examines the form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
  • Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools.
  • Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements, using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
  • Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments, using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.
  • Installs special functional and structural parts in devices, using hand tools.
  • Starts devices to test their performance.
  • May initiate purchase orders for parts and machines.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on equipment.
  • Must comply with the work order system to include interpreting work orders, performing work requested, and completing work orders per instructions.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 6 months of related experience and/or training.
  • Ability to read, write, and interpret documents.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups.
  • Basic algebra and geometry

Physical Demands:

  • Frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Vision abilities required include: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, handle, and reach with hands and arms.

Other Requirements:

  • Must be able to complete and pass post-offer checks to include, but not limited to, background, drug, references, and education.
