Description:
Position Summary
Performs preventative and corrective maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment and systems in the health
system. Works according to diagrams, sketches, operations manuals and manufacturer's specifications. Patrols Hospital and Division Street buildings and grounds to prevent fire, theft, vandalism and illegal entry. Uses hand and power tools and precision measuring and testing instruments. Adhere's to Mercyone

Education and Experience:
Basic Skill Set 0 - 2 years - Experience in an institutional environment.
High School or Equivalent (GED)
Certification/Licensure Required for Job:
Valid IA driver's license and an acceptable Motor
Vehicle Report (MVR). MRT. Non-Violent Crisis
Intervention Training (NVCI) within 6 months of hire
for full-time staff.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities required: (i.e. supervision, computers, etc.) Intermediate language, basic math, intermediate reasoning ability. Personal computer. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, mechanical inclination.
Working Conditions:
May be exposed to areas that are hot or extremely dirty. Exposure to seasonal weather conditions. The tasks of this job may involve exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues. Potential for possible exposure to hazardous materials and/or chemicals.
Schedule
This is a 1st shift position 7a-3:30pm. Will take call every 4 weeks and have some weekend work responsibilities during that time.
