Maintenance Millwright

OVERVIEW:Reporting to the Manager, Facilities and Maintenance, the primary purpose of the Maintenance Millwright is to ensure the facility and machinery are efficiently and proactively maintained to optimize production. As a member of the RS team, this position will support an organizational culture that cares for other's well-being through best practices in health and safety, in addition to the company's values of respect, integrity, quality, teamwork and professional growth.RESPONSIBILITIES:Perform building maintenance and repairs as neededTroubleshoot and repair industrial equipmentAssist in "Error Proofing" equipmentComplete scheduled Preventative Maintenance tasksWork with Electricians to quickly and efficiently solve problemsAs part of the Maintenance Department maintain a safe and efficient workplaceComplete all work orders and preventive maintenance as required – CMMS systemsAdhere to all related paperwork and database entries for efficient process flowAdhere to all safety procedures and PPE requirements including ability to fit test and wear a half mask respiratorAssist the Engineering Department in the research, trial/development, selection of new processes and equipment to improve the production processParticipate in continuous improvement activitiesMaintain a clean and safe work environmentComply with all Company Safety rules, local, State and Federal Rules and RegulationsEffectively communicate with production department daily for equipment condition and repair statusOther duties as assignedTRAINING / QUALIFICATIONS:Certification in at least one of the following areas: Millwright, toolmaker and machine tool builderFive years' experience in Maintenance and/or Machine buildingFabricating and Machining experience requiredHydraulic / Fluid Power experience requiredExperience in building/ environmental systems an assetBasic understanding of electrical systemsForklift/ Lift Truck certificateWorking at Heights CertificateOverhead Crane CertificateCompetent with GMAW and SMAWWORKING CONDITIONS:Industrial production environmentHot & humid areas within the plantPhysically demanding tasksInteraction with heavy machinery, moving equipment and limited movement of chemicals within the production area
