Supplemental Information
Within the Judicial Facilities, Operations and Security Unit and under the direction of the Administrative Manager, the Operations Officer will be required to assist with the receiving, inventory, distribution and storage of cleaning/janitorial supplies, maintenance supplies, and building equipment; prepare and maintain a comprehensive repair schedule for building equipment; assist with vendors and contractors. Provide facility coverage as needed. On-going inspection of facilities to identify areas that require cleaning/janitorial and/or repair work. Coordinate and assist with office relocations. Examples of daily work include but are not limited to: office relocations/moving furniture, assisting building superintendents, making deliveries and other work as directed by the supervisor.
Education/Experience/Special Requirements: Education as may be gained through graduation from a senior high school or successful completion of the high school equivalency examination. Additional technical training helpful. Knowledge of Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Candidate must have a working knowledge of general building operation and maintenance activities; a working knowledge of the materials and equipment used in building operation and maintenance; the ability to deal effectively with supervisors, vendors and contractors. Must maintain a valid driver's license. Candidate must also be physically fit to lift a minimum of perform work assignments, be able to lift a minimum of fifty (50) pounds and climb ladders. This position is on-call 24/7/365.
The selected candidate will be required to obtain a pre-employment physical examination certifying their ability to perform the essential functions of the position.
