That's where you come in.We're looking for a dependable, organized, and proactive Parts Runner to support our maintenance department by locating, picking up, delivering, and tracking parts, tools, and supplies. If you enjoy staying busy, solving problems, driving, and being part of a hardworking team, this may be the perfect opportunity for you.What You'll DoPick up and deliver parts, supplies, and equipment for maintenance personnel.Coordinate with local vendors, suppliers, and repair shops to obtain needed parts.Maintain inventory of frequently used maintenance items and shop supplies.Assist with receiving, organizing, and stocking parts in the maintenance warehouse.Verify parts received match orders and specifications.Help maintain a clean, organized, and efficient parts storage area.Transport tools and equipment between company locations as needed.Assist mechanics and maintenance personnel with non-technical support tasks.Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment when authorized.Follow all company safety procedures and policies.What We're Looking ForStrong organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.Good communication and customer service skills.Basic computer skills and ability to learn inventory systems.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.Knowledge of automotive, heavy equipment, industrial, or mechanical parts is preferred but not required.Physical RequirementsFrequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds.Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and work both indoors and outdoors.Comfortable working in a maintenance shop and industrial recycling environment.Ability to safely operate company vehicles.Why Metro Group?At Metro Group, you'll join a team that values hard work, safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
