Maintenance Parts Specialist

Agri-Mark/Cabot Creamery has a full-time opening for a Maintenance Parts Specialist. This is an hourly Monday-Friday daytime position with occasional overtime required.

The Maintenance Parts Specialist manages and maintains operating and production parts and supplies inventory, ordering and receiving goods, negotiating with vendors to ensure best pricing possible and other related duties. This position will report to the Maintenance Manager while working closely with and assisting the Maintenance Planner in related duties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interacts closely with the Maintenance Planner, and maintenance team to remain up to date with current ordering and supply needs within the plant.
• Maintains critical parts and supplies necessary in the operation of the plant.
• Ensures proper levels of inventory are tracked and maintained.
• Sources most competitive pricing possible on parts and supplies.
• Tracks and receives orders and distributes to various places in the plant as required.
• Updates and maintains records in the appropriate systems.
• Maintains company’s purchasing, purchase order and receiving guidelines ensuring that segregation of duties expectations is followed and maintained.
• Serves as a backup to the Maintenance Planner as required.
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Preferred Candidate:

• Parts buying experience,
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and computer-based applications,
• Excellent verbal/written communication,
• Excellent negotiating skills,
• Experience in a manufacturing setting,
• Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational,
• Can handle multiple tasks simultaneously,
• Demonstrated skill in organization and prioritization,
• Attention to detail.

Average Compensation: $20.77-25.97
