Maintenance Planner

POSITION SUMMARY

The Maintenance planner is responsible for accurate daily updates and administration of the CMMS system and associated programs. Purchasing and coordination of spare parts and inventory control including Facilities and Sanitation depts. Schedules and plans preventative maintenance and work order tasks. Interacts with all departments to ensure work requests are logged and processed into the maintenance CMMS system.

Requirements

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinate with Maintenance/Facilities department to create purchase requisitions and purchase orders
• Provide sourcing of Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and after-market vendors/suppliers for parts
• Manage communications for purchase orders and deliveries with vendors/suppliers
• Resolve purchase issues and coordinate with accounts payable department for invoice processing
• Maintain records of all purchase orders in company databases.
• Receive and verify all procured items for Maintenance and Facilities departments that are delivered by the receiving warehouse
• Assign CMMS Numbers for new spare parts – OEM and After-Market
• Assist in the Spare Parts Management System; Spare Parts optimization and organization
• Monitor and reconcile spare parts usage and inventory levels.
• Submit monthly usage of spare parts along with the total cost
• Support Maintenance and Facilities personnel with CMMS issues
• Verify all completed Preventative Maintenance work orders are closed out.
• Assist Inventory Control with Cycle Count and Inventory verifications for Maintenance spare parts
• Assist with other tasks assigned by the Maintenance Manager
• Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum experience of 1 year in the proper use of work order system, spare parts management system and maintenance processes
• High School Diploma or GED
• Advanced math and computer skills
• Good organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills experienced in interacting with multiple departments and customers.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize work requirements
• Ability to effectively communicate in English via speaking, writing, and reading
• Must be willing to work overtime or on weekends, as the workload demands

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Exposure to cold temperatures in the winter and hot temperatures in the summer
• Work occasionally near mechanical parts and in high places
• Occasional duties in an outside environment
• Duties are performed primarily in a smoke-free environment

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Frequently required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, balance, and reach
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
• Push/Pull up to 300 lbs.
