Purpose
Support maintenance and reliability for a manufacturing operation. Responsible for the planning, requisitioning of materials and services and coordination of future maintenance plans and projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain solid fundamental preventative and predictive schedules in the CMMS
- Collaborate with all departments to translate work requirements into clear achievable plans
- Work directly with maintenance and purchasing to plan and prioritize maintenance work
- Plans maintenance tasks as well as shutdowns and other project work
- Follows the planning process as outlined in the Reliability Playbook
- Prepares job plans for maintenance work in the mill, with safety instructions and special precautions
- Attend the Daily approval meeting and the weekly partner meeting
- Coordinates with purchasing to ensure parts availability
- Maintains maintenance and equipment records and generates reports; i.e. open work orders, past due work orders, completed work orders, labor utilization by work order type, equipment historical cost analysis, etc
- Tracks availability of crew resources
- Provides job estimates as required
- Coordinates and prioritizes planning and maintenance work with production requirements
- Coordinate the PDM results, use results for planning of required maintenance
- Models company core values
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years working in a manufacturing environment as a Millwright, Electrician, or other equivalent technical trade
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Demonstrated understanding of company safety policies and expectations
- Ability to read blueprints and some drafting
- PC operation and experience (Word, Access, Excel, Preventive Maintenance Systems, etc)
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent listening, written and verbal communications skills
- Ability to make decisions and maintain composure in high-pressure situations
- Ability to work in and maintain a highly functional team environment
- Willing to work anytime as required to meet mill needs including nights, weekends and holidays if necessary
- Must be willing to attend additional training with passing grades as required
Preferred Qualifications
- Associates' degree in business, manufacturing, production or related field
- Maintenance background in both electrical and mechanical trades
- Previous experience with CMMS systems (currently EAM)
