Based at our Chicago Heights manufacturing site, the Maintenance Planner / Scheduler plays a critical role in optimizing plant operations. You will be responsible for planning, scheduling and coordinating maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability, minimize downtime and support safe, efficient production. Working closely with maintenance, operations, procurement and external partners, you will help ensure the right work is done at the right time with the right resources.

How You'll Help Us Grow

  • Develop and manage preventive and corrective maintenance schedules aligned with production needs
  • Review, prioritize and track maintenance work orders to ensure timely and effective completion
  • Coordinate materials, parts, tools, internal resources and external vendors to support maintenance execution
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, equipment history and performance data
  • Analyze maintenance metrics and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reliability and cost control
  • Support planned shutdowns, turnarounds and major maintenance activities
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with Nufarm safety standards and regulatory requirements

Could This Be You?

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Maintenance Management or a related field
  • 3-5 years' experience in maintenance planning, scheduling or coordination within a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Experience using CMMS and work order management systems
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to work cross‑functionally
  • Maintenance or planning certifications are an advantage

  • Our compensation structure is designed to reflect the cost of labor across various U.S. geographic markets. The base salary range for this position is $80,000 to $110,000 per year.
  • Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including market location, job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity.
  • At Nufarm, we believe in total compensation. In addition to base pay, this role may be eligible for additional forms of compensation and a comprehensive benefits package, which includes medical, financial, and other wellbeing benefits.
