Maintenance Planner - Scheduler

In this role, you will coordinate and manage preventative and planned maintenance activities to help ensure equipment reliability, facility functionality, and efficient plant operations. Your day will focus on scheduling maintenance work, maintaining accurate maintenance records, managing parts and materials, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives throughout the plant.

The typical day-to-day of this position will include, but is not limited to:

• Create and manage preventative maintenance schedules and work orders
• Coordinate all planned maintenance activities across the facility
• Serve as a key user of SAP and other maintenance management systems
• Order and maintain inventory of maintenance parts, materials, and tools
• Update and maintain work orders, maintenance records, procedures, and equipment lists daily
• Provide preventative maintenance schedules to Production Planning for operational scheduling needs
• Interface with contractors and vendors regarding maintenance and repair activities
• Schedule and coordinate maintenance of facility support equipment, including compressors, chillers, cooling towers, air dryers, and HVAC systems
• Conduct routine plant walk-throughs to identify facility and equipment issues requiring attention
• Monitor and coordinate inspections of emergency lighting, fire pumps, and PIV systems
• Support compliance with BRC standards and facility requirements
• Assist the Maintenance Manager with contractor oversight and maintenance projects
• Support Maintenance Technicians as needed to address equipment and facility concerns
• Maintain purchase orders and parts procurement activities within the system
• Drive continuous improvement efforts related to preventative maintenance and equipment reliability

You'll spend time balancing maintenance planning, administrative system management, vendor coordination, and facility inspections. This role requires both strong organizational skills and a hands-on approach to supporting maintenance operations.

What will my schedule be like?

This role supports a manufacturing operation, so your schedule will align with plant maintenance and production needs.

You can expect:

• A full-time, on-site position supporting plant operations
• Primarily day-shift hours with flexibility based on business requirements
• Regular interaction with maintenance, production, vendors, and contractors throughout the facility
• Frequent plant floor presence to inspect equipment, assess facility conditions, and support maintenance activities
• Occasional extended hours or schedule adjustments to support maintenance projects, shutdowns, audits, or equipment-related issues
• Participation in critical maintenance planning and emergency response activities when necessary
