Description
Overview:
Kings Island is seeking a Full-Time Maintenance Procurement Specialist to support the operation of our Maintenance Department. This position oversees the procurement, receipt, storage, and distribution of maintenance parts, supplies, and materials while helping ensure an organized and efficient maintenance warehouse operation.
The Maintenance Procurement Specialist works closely with Maintenance leadership, technicians, vendors, and other park departments to ensure necessary materials are available to support daily maintenance operations. This position also supervises seasonal warehouse associates and helps ensure purchasing and inventory activities comply with park and corporate policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the day-to-day operation and organization of the Maintenance warehouse.
Procure maintenance parts, supplies, materials, and equipment based on departmental needs.
Coordinate with Maintenance leadership and technicians to identify purchasing needs and maintain appropriate inventory levels.
Receive incoming shipments and verify materials against purchase orders, packing slips, and other documentation.
Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure parts and supplies are properly stored, labeled, and organized.
Issue maintenance parts, tools, and supplies to authorized associates and maintain appropriate transaction records.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with cycle counts, physical inventories, and inventory reconciliation.
Create and process purchase orders and maintain accurate purchasing documentation.
Work directly with vendors to obtain quotes, place orders, resolve discrepancies, and coordinate deliveries.
Process invoices and supporting documentation to help ensure vendors are paid accurately and in a timely manner.
Research and source parts and materials while considering availability, cost, quality, and operational needs.
Maintain accurate purchasing, receiving, inventory, and vendor records in applicable systems.
Ensure warehouse and procurement activities comply with park and corporate policies and procedures.
Supervise, train, schedule, and provide direction to seasonal Maintenance warehouse associates.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.
Build effective working relationships with internal departments and external vendors.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in purchasing, supply chain, inventory management, maintenance, or a related field preferred.
Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, inventory management, warehouse operations, maintenance parts, or a related field preferred.
Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with vendors, maintenance personnel, leadership, and other departments.
Comfortable using computers and business systems for purchasing, inventory management, recordkeeping, and communication.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications preferred.
Ability to work independently with limited supervision and exercise sound judgment.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays as required by park operations.
