Maintenance & Reliability Mechanic — Industrial Manufacturing

Are you the go‑to problem solver on the floor?

When a conveyor stalls or a control panel trips, do teammates call you first? If so, you could be the Maintenance & Reliability Mechanic who keeps our plant moving. In this role, you’ll work under the direction of the Maintenance Manager or Senior Maintenance Technician to safeguard uptime, follow proven processes, and document your work thoroughly—while modeling BAC’s values: Earning Trust, Embracing Responsibility, Showing Courage, and Driving Innovation.

Imagine this scenario

A press brake throws an error. You review the schematic, verify inputs with your DMM, confirm hydraulic pressure, and trace a fault to a worn sensor in the power transmission assembly. You replace the part, perform operational checks, log the repair in the CM records, and restock the consumables used—restoring the line before the next changeover.

Your impact

• Preventive maintenance on major equipment to extend asset life and improve reliability.
• Rapid troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and power transmission systems.
• Efficient response to breakdowns, smooth equipment changeovers, and quality benchwork (rebuilds, cleaning, functional checks).
• Confident use of manuals, specifications, shop drawings, and schematics to pinpoint issues.
• Seasonal and facility equipment maintenance—including support during non‑standard hours.

Safety is non‑negotiable

• Adhere to safety procedures, rules, and PPE requirements at all times.
• Operate pallet jacks, lift trucks, jib/gantry cranes, and man lifts safely.
• Use hand and power tools correctly; uphold 5S—clean, organized, and safe work areas.
• Complete inspections, documentation, and in‑process quality checks.

Collaborate and grow

• Keep the Maintenance Manager, Senior Maintenance Technician, production teams, and the Shift Manager updated on machine status.
• Train and support junior mechanics; partner across departments to hit daily and project goals.

Always improving

• Apply LEAN basics and 5S; contribute ideas for continuous improvement.
• Support sustainability actions that cut energy use and reduce waste.
• Maintain accurate procedures, after‑action reports, and maintenance records.
• Replenish parts, tools, and consumables to keep work orders flowing.

Facilities support

Help with painting, drywall repairs, and minor plumbing when needed to keep the facility in top condition.

What you’ll bring

• 3–5 years of industrial mechanical maintenance experience.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting; able to read wiring diagrams/schematics and use a DMM.
• Solid math skills with fractions and decimals.
• Comfort navigating digital instructions, forms, and documentation.
• Adaptable, flexible, and clear, concise verbal communication.
• Bonus: familiarity with lasers, press brakes, thermoforming, and robotics.

Physical demands & schedule

• Stand/walk up to 90% of the shift.
• Frequently bend, kneel, squat, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Work at floor level, at elevation, and within confined spaces.
• Manufacturing environment with noise, temperature variation, and periodic outdoor exposure.
• Any shift; regular overtime, including weekends, is expected.

Pay and perks

BAC Hiring Compensation Range: Up to $36/hr
