Priefert is seeking a qualified maintenance technicians for our Mount Pleasant, TX. Location.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Use of hand tools, such as hammers, saws, impacts, drills, wrenches and hoists.
- Maintenance of pneumatics, hydraulics and mechanical drive systems.
- Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary.
- Work with tool room and purchasing to identify and order parts
- Work with production and department supervision to schedule equipment down time for repairs.
- Inspect gearboxes, drive shafts, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, or perform other maintenance actions following prewritten checklists.
- Repair or replace defective equipment parts, using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment.
- Performing preventive maintenance on industrial equipment.
- Fill out detailed daily logs and work orders.
- Apply 5’s methods to tool carts, shop, parts storage areas and work area.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Understanding of industrial machinery and how it works.
- Ability to determine safe and unsafe conditions and to adjust the situation to stay safe at all times.
- Ability to keep a clean and organized maintenance shop, tool cart and work area.
- Ability to use tool carts, aerial lifts, cranes and forklifts.
- Ability to work on more than one task at a time.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing conditions.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision.
- Ability to work and communicate effectively with others.
- Ability to perform repetitive work.
- Ability to work in a tight and confined space.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Maintains composure in stressful situations.
- Reports to work on time and as scheduled.
