We are seeking a Maintenance Repair Technician to join our team and support the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and continuous improvement of our advanced testing equipment in both our Electronics and Hydraulics departments. This role offers hands-on experience with hydraulic, electronic, electrical, and mechanical systems in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.

What You’ll Do

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on advanced materials testing equipment and facility systems
  • Diagnose and repair hydraulic, electronic, electrical, and mechanical components
  • Troubleshoot and maintain hydraulic pumps, valves, cylinders, hoses, manifolds, and servo-hydraulic systems
  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair single-phase and three-phase motors and controls
  • Repair and maintain sensors, amplifiers, circuit boards, data acquisition systems, and other electronic components
  • Read and interpret electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and mechanical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings
  • Utilize diagnostic tools, testing equipment, and software to identify and resolve equipment issues
  • Perform equipment calibrations and verify system performance to ensure accurate testing results
  • Maintain maintenance logs, repair records, and calibration documentation
  • Assist in equipment upgrades, reliability initiatives, and long-term maintenance solutions
  • Support a safety-first culture by following all company safety policies and procedures

 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • US Citizenship is strictly required for national defense and aerospace compliance
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel between Latrobe and Youngstown facilities as needed
  • Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Electronics, Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, Mechanical Technology, or related field preferred
  • 1–5 years of experience in industrial maintenance, equipment repair, electronics, hydraulics, or related fields preferred
  • Experience troubleshooting hydraulic, electrical, and electronic systems
  • Ability to read and interpret hydraulic and electrical schematics
  • Working knowledge of motors, sensors, control systems, wiring, and industrial equipment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient computer skills and ability to utilize maintenance software and diagnostic tools
  • Strong mathematical, organizational, and time-management skills
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, squat, and reach throughout the workday
  • Ability to work safely around industrial equipment and laboratory environments
