Maintenance / Repair Worker (Immediate Opening)

Maintenance / Repair Labor – Opelousas Area

A local Opelousas-area business is seeking dependable laborers for maintenance, and repair work. The ideal candidate will have experience or familiarity with hand tools, along with basic mechanical aptitude. The majority of work is preformed outside. 

Pay: $13/hour (raises available with completion of training / probationary period)

Qualifications:

• Must be comfortable working outside in all-weather types. 
• Previous construction or related experience preferred
• Experience using hand tools
• Basic mechanical skills
• Valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record (MVR)
• Strong time management skills
• Willingness to learn and take direction
• Ability to operate a pickup truck
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs

Schedule & Benefits:

• Full-time hours
• Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• On Call responsibilities after probationary period. 

Additional Requirements:

• Pre-employment screening required
• High school diploma or GED
• Reliable transportation to and from job sites
