    Job Description

    Purpose
    Performs diverse and complex assignments in support of product development and manufacturing. Assignments may include, but are not limited to: support the preventative maintenance program, plan and schedule effective maintenance routines and repairs to prolong the useful life and optimize the efficiency of production equipment.
     
    Essential Responsibilities:
     
    Support production activities at all times by ensuring minimum response times to equipment breakdowns and achievement of equipment availability targets.
     
    Have a working knowledge of the computerized maintenance management system.
     
    Duties include generation of daily work orders and equipment PM’s, daily work order assignment, creating equipment PM’s and database reports. Managing and tracking maintenance PM performance
    Maintain safety and regulatory equipment at all times and report any defects.
    Ensure maintenance coverage for manufacturing areas is provided at all times by demonstrating flexibility regarding working on shift, working overtime and as required.

    Coordinate with the Facilities Team on scheduling Utilities and Facilities resources to ensure production critical utility supply is maintained at all times.

    Ensure compliance to all aspects of the Company’s Health, Safety and Environmental procedures are maintained.

    Ensure that all activities are carried out in accordance with the Good Manufacturing Practices requirements maintained by the company.

    All employees are responsible for minimizing both the Environmental and Health & Safety effects of the work that they perform.
     
    Quality Specific Goals:
    1. Aware of and comply with the  Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and  applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position.
     
    2. Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines.
     
    3. Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required.
     
    4. Training: Aware of and comply with training requirements.

    5. Knowledge and understanding of production process, work instructions, documentation configuration control, non-conforming & rework documentation requirements and operates within them to ensure that a device conforms to its specification.

    6. Aware of and comply with QA Facilities (including Controlled Environment if applicable), Preventative Maintenance, Calibration, Good Documentation Practices, Material Segregation and Control requirements, as associated with this job type/ position perform.
    Qualifications/Requirements:
    1. Associates degree and/or 5 years technical experience.

    2. Proficiency to logically troubleshoot at subsystem and system level, using identifiable problem solving techniques

    3. Ability to draw accurate conclusions from test data, malfunctions, or deviations, and assist with corrections to the existing design or process

    4. Proficiency to understand and interpret basic written technical information

    5. Demonstrated ability to work well with limited direction and information

    6. Demonstrated ongoing effort to maintain knowledge of current technology

    7. Ability to communicate using English (or local language)
     
    Working Conditions:
    Frequently requires standing, lifting, walking, reaching, stooping, bending, smelling, listening, speaking, and seeing to perform the essential job duties.
    Work conditions vary, quitting time will vary based upon production needs, and flexibility is critical.  Temperatures range from 30 to 110 degrees in processing departments.
    Exposure to potentially dangerous machinery and equipment are present in the plant.  Potential electrical, mechanical, and chemical, hazards are also present.  The noise level is high and constant.  Floors are damp and slick.
    Must be able to bend, stoop, pull and lift up to 60 lbs., and to stand for long periods of time.
