Maintenance / Shop Technician

As a Maintenance / Shop Technician at Samson Sky, you’ll play a critical role in supporting the development of our revolutionary flying sports car. This is a hands -on position that blends facility maintenance with direct involvement in prototype vehicle assembly and testing.<\/span>
<\/p>

Key Responsibilities:<\/span>
<\/span><\/p>

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on facility infrastructure, including HVAC, plumbing, lighting, and electrical systems
  <\/span><\/li>
• Troubleshoot and repairing mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems
  <\/span><\/li>
• Assist with the assembly, modification, and integration of vehicle components, including structural, mechanical, and electrical systems
  <\/span><\/li>
• Contribute to vehicle manufacturing processes, including hands -on work with prototype components and systems
  <\/span><\/li>
• Support prototype fabrication, including cutting, grinding, drilling, and fitting of parts using hand and power tools
  <\/span><\/li>
• Set up and maintain shop equipment such as CNC machines, welders, lifts, and fabrication tools
  <\/span><\/li>
• Work closely with engineering and fabrication teams to build, test, and refine vehicle systems
  <\/span><\/li>
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with OSHA and company safety standards
  <\/span><\/li>
• Manage shop inventory, tools, and consumables; assist with procurement and vendor coordination
  <\/span><\/li>
• Participate in facility improvement projects, including layout changes, equipment installation, and infrastructure upgrades
  <\/span><\/li>
• Document maintenance activities, equipment logs, and prototype build notes as needed
  <\/span><\/li>
• Provide general support for R&D operations, including test setup, tear down, and data collection assistance<\/span>

  Requirements<\/span>

  <\/span><\/h3>

  • Ability to lift reasonable weight, climb ladders and be comfortable at heights above ground, and do physical work<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • 2+ years of experience in facility maintenance, mechanical repair, or shop support
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and hands -on troubleshooting skills
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Familiarity with power tools, shop equipment, and safety protocols
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Self -motivated, organized, and able to work independently or as part of a team
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic R&D environment with evolving priorities
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
    <\/span><\/li><\/ul>

    Preferred but not required:<\/span>
    <\/span><\/p>

    • Experience in aerospace, automotive, or prototype fabrication environments
      <\/span><\/li>
    • Background in vehicle manufacturing or assembly
      <\/span><\/li>
    • Basic electrical or HVAC certification
      <\/span><\/li>
    • Forklift certification
