    Title: Maintenance Specialist

    Department: Warehouse

    Reports To: General Manager

    Direct Reports: None

    Position Summary

    The Maintenance Specialist plays a critical role in supporting both facility operations and warehouse efficiency. This position is responsible for maintaining company buildings, equipment, vehicles, and tools while also assisting with shipping, receiving, inventory organization, and general warehouse operations. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety-conscious, dependable, and comfortable working independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

     

    Primary Responsibilities

    Facility Maintenance & Mechanical Support

    • Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks on facility systems and general building structures.
    • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and complete repairs to minimize downtime.
    • Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and service schedules.
    • Repair or replace defective parts using hand tools, power tools, and cutting equipment.
    • Determine appropriate tools, materials, and repair methods for mechanical tasks.
    • Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or services.
    • Ensure compliance with company safety standards and applicable building regulations.
    • Maintain company vehicles, trailers, and equipment in safe working condition.
    • Drive pickups and trailers to transport tools, equipment, and parts.
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
    • Use sound judgment and problem-solving skills to address issues as they arise.

    Warehouse Operations

    • Process, package, and ship customer orders accurately and efficiently.
    • Receive, inspect, unload, and organize incoming inventory.
    • Maintain accurate inventory organization and warehouse cleanliness.
    • Inspect products and shipments for defects, shortages, or damages.
    • Verify and fulfill customer invoices and outgoing orders.
    • Operate forklifts, trucks, trailers, and material handling equipment safely.
    • Assist with customer product installations at job sites as needed.
    • Participate in assembly and light fabrication projects when required.
    • Drive company vehicles for pickups and deliveries when necessary.
    • Contribute ideas to improve warehouse efficiency, organization, and processes.
    • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

     

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or trade school experience is a plus.
    • Previous experience in facilities maintenance, mechanical repair, warehouse operations, or a related field preferred.
    • Strong mechanical aptitude and experience using hand tools, power tools, and equipment.
    • Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with inventory or warehouse management systems.
    • Ability to troubleshoot problems and work independently with minimal supervision.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Good written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to lift and carry at least 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work.
    • Strong hand-eye coordination, agility, and dexterity.
    • Positive attitude, dependable work ethic, and strong attendance record.
    • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record preferred.
    • Ability to pass a drug test.
