Requirements / Qualifications

Requires: High School diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of two years of experience in general maintenance and repair work as a building maintenance worker or construction trades helper required. Requires a working knowledge of building trades practices and principles sufficient to perform routine maintenance and repairs to District facilities and equipment. Requires knowledge of the use, maintenance and minor repair of the various tools and equipment used in building maintenance and repair work. Must know and understand safety rules and regulations. Must have basic record keeping and report writing skills. Must have a basic understanding of blueprints, maps, schematic wiring diagrams and specifications. As part of your hiring process, you are required to complete a physical abilities test to assure that you have the required physical abilities to perform the required job functions. Your offer of employment is conditional on your measured abilities to meet or exceed all of the established physical testing standards.
